whats the fuel capacity of the mk4 tdi

55 litres

same as all the other golfs bar R32 and 4Mo  :nerd:

there is some space in the fuel filler neck and you'll get more fuel in on a colder day

on my 1.8T mine came on the other day checked the mte and it said 25 miles but thats dependant on your mpg at the time i think vw figure is approx 35 miles

no paul as rhys says apart from 4mo/R32 they are all 55 litres  :wink:

my low diesel light comes on at 70 miles left but I have gone 40 miles passed 0

IIRC i read some where in a VW mag that the light will come on when the tank hit 5L left. With a little un-sciantific experiment i did this and think its about right.
What i dont know is how far 5l of fuel will get you. I didn't take the experimant that fare  :shocked: :smiley:

4.56 litre is 1 gallon so 5 litres say just over a gallon so basically dependant on what you average your mpg to be
