Hi people wondering if anyone can help,my pride and joy keeps dying on me,can be driving along the out of the blue she just dies like the ignition has been cut,if im travelling at speed :smiley: then i can usually re start or it bump starts itself but if im dropping speed or slowing or just about anywhere i have to pull over and it wont start,if i wait a few mins it fires up great again.
Ive just changed all leads,plugs,rotor arm,d/cap,cam belt new exhaust but still does it???
someone said to change the fuel pump relay? is this right? also where abouts is it on the car,in the fuse box? cheers people

I'm having similar probs dude, Relay is behind panel just infront of your right knee on dash, check underneath, push in 2green buttons and should pop off. think relay is No167
About £24 from VW or £9.50 from VW part 191906383c I just replaced mine and it still doing it!!!
Also replaced hall sensor relay 165906391.
Check the long thread I just posted in, about 35 pages of folks with similar issues :cry:

Try the ECU relay too - no.30. No.167 is the fuel pump one - can also cause issues.

A mechanic friend had also mentioned to me about wiring at gearbox somewhere can get damaged and cause to stall on cornering/bumpy road.
