Right, being this close to xmas i set my budget low at £200, so lets face it, im gonna be buying sh!t! but i dont rag the car, its just used to work and back, so not got a hard life really, I went for some wanli's.

 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/225-40-18-WANLI-92W-XL-2254018-225-40-18-4-X-NEW-TYRES_W0QQitemZ360214145562QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Cars_Tyres_RL?hash=item53de6faa1a (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/225-40-18-WANLI-92W-XL-2254018-225-40-18-4-X-NEW-TYRES_W0QQitemZ360214145562QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Cars_Tyres_RL?hash=item53de6faa1a)

there were a couple of reasons i choose these, rightly or wrongly. Firstly they were within the budget, secondly i like the tread pattern! (biker habit) and they are speed rated to 168mph so should be more than adequate for tootling to work and back.

If they are crap then next time i need rubber i will save some more and get some decent stuff, but for now they will just have to do me.

I had a set of those on my E36 BMW, they are fine in the wet and the tread pattern does indeed look awesome considering they are a budget tyre.

The are SHOCKING in the wet though, may aswell be driving on plastic so take it easy, however i don't know how much this was to do with the BMW being rear wheel drive

I'll keep an eye on them and see how they go, all car tyres are a gamble for me as i never really been bothered by whats on, bike tyres i know what i like but cars are cars, usually just put part worns on when i need new rubber. I think that might change the next few months!
