Title: Zurich - penalty points only 3 years not 5
Post by: rclifton4 on 02 December 2009, 17:44
I did a quote for zurich and when i filled out the form it only wanted convictions for the last 3 years not the typical 5 years everyone seems to want.

Just a heads up as i got 6 points four years ago so any other insurance company would still sting me so got a lovely fully comp price!

Points are valid for 3 years and stay on your licence for 4. Different insurance companies will look at them in different ways

Yeah just to concrete that, with us at HIC penalty points only make a difference to your premium for 3 years, but we ask for history of 5 years, but once its over the 3 year period it wouldn't actually increase your premium in any way.
