Title: car locks me in
Post by: braderz on 02 December 2009, 14:21: Intermittantly, if i unlock the car, get in, shut the door, and the car locks itself.
ive noticed this also plays up with courtest foot lights on the driver door only, also the headlight warning tone doesnt come on if lights are left on.
Sometimes it all starts working again, but its like the car doesnt realise its door has been opened, hence it locks itself.
Is there a microswitch or something in the driver door, sometimes a slight bang would fix it and make it all work again or it all flickers.

Any ideas?

and after reading that guide for the door module i think im gonna leave it :grin:
as i have done with the faulty boot light, and glove box light and so on

This is who i use for parts, unless your ordering through a registered company though you wont get the parts at FULL trade price, you can do a cash sale basis which gets you around 15-20% discount which is still pretty good, if your confident to have ago at fitting it then go for it, i personally wouldnt be bothered to spend the time stripping down the door to fit it lol, but hey, if youve got the drive to do it then good for you :laugh:
