Right the golf is booked in for an MOT on saturday morning.
I've just put a full cream leather interior in the car, which was from a later model (03 I think, ours is a V) - now due to the wife needing to use the car, I didn't have time to change the plugs for the seat airbags.
I've just had an hour on it and I've wired the new plugs (from the old seats) onto the new ones so that the airbags will now work.
I've reconnected the battery and the airbag fault display and the airbag light still come on.
Does the airbag light have to be reset now and can it be done by VAGCOM, or is there another problem I need to sort.
Cheers, any help ASAP will be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Hi mate
Get a vagcom on it , and flash the ecu, thats what i did! Gets rid of the light!

Air bag light on is not an MOT failure so you'll be ok for Saturday

same as above, you'll be fine
-
think the code needs to be cleared vai vag-com for the light to go out
