Hi, Im a new user to this wonderful website, i bought my first Golf GTI Mk2 about two weeks ago, and since then i have had loads of fun, firstly i went for a bit of a Rally in the welsh mountains and hit a concerte block that was sticking out the hedge, totally ripped my front offside tyre >:(, so i put 1 of those crap little tempory wheels on it, drove it home and went to the pub, got really drunk and decieded it would be a good idea to go down the beach (only about 1/4 mile down a hill from my house), did a few dougnuts and stuff on the beach then came back up the hill,
Totally lost it on the corner and hit a Sign Post and Lamp post, ???, and nearly slipped down a 100 foot drop, anyway the police then arrived coz someone heard the smash and i was arrested and just went to court yesterday and got 18 months ban and ?150.00 fine,
Lovely way to start my VW career, anyway ive got 18 months to get the car looking sweet,
Pics of crash will be posted at http://groups.msn.com/golfgtienthsiastsclub/_albumlist.msnw?
When i get round to it
Thanks for reading

Does that beat my Scirrocco write-off, I waited 2 years to get it and had it for 8 hours, before some muppet in an RS turbo hit me at over 100 mph in the drivers door, head on.
I was lucky and got out with a bit of whiplash and a scratch on my chest, albeit unconscious for a couple of days. The car went from the standard width to about 4 feet, I had 3 passengers who all got out fine too. A testiment to VW's safety I think

you lucky man !!!!!
you live in wales!!
what more do you want??
-
Madman I'm sorry to get personal mate, but I think you got what you deserve.
I feel sorry for the car, I hope you are ashamed of yourself. >:(
Anyway 18 months is a good LONG time to save your hard earned cash and buy something that will take your abusive ways like a VOLVO ;D
-
Well what can i say to that, i think i totally agree, well that is all apart from the Volvo bit, i do feel ashamed and a bit pi**ed off with myself, so i have 18 months to stop the drinking :-X :'( and get the car on the road or save my money and buy another GTI.
Anyway thanks for the coment.
Cheers
