Title: mk3 rear badge removal
Post by: Tom4388 on 29 November 2009, 22:11

Hi people.
Basically i've got the week off this week and i'm guna have a big car sesh! one of the things on my list is removing the rear badge and smooth it (maybe, not decided yet might get a black one instead) but i dont want to just rag it off the back and break it. So is there a way of removing it without breaking it ? this might have been posted a thousand times before but it would help me a lot.

cheers

Do you mean the round VW one if so then use a screwdriver but wrap a rag around it and it pops of, mine was well stuck down as well.

yeh meant the round vw badge just above the number plate.

i've tried using a screwdriver to pry it off but it feels like i'm guna break it when i get to certain point so i didnt want to go ahead without some advice, i suppose if i break it its not the end of the world.

just out of interest what have you got in place of the badge ?

cheers
