Just wondering how many of us who already have our cars and those who are still waiting actually opted for monza II's.
Today a white 3 door parked beside mine but it had 17's on and to be honest although a cracking looking car it was wasted on those alloys.
Obviously I opted for them and I know Rolfe didn't and she is more than happy with her car, so just out of interest who did?
-
Moi
-
I would expect non  Some may have gone for the monza Shadow alloy wheel option.
-
mich
-
here here 18's monza's excellent choce!!
-
Standard 17".
Faster, more comfortable, cheaper tyres and you save £300 or so.
Some say the shadows look better depending on the car but I think we've been through this before.....
-
originally 17"
now 18"
And just a word of note to those of you who think the ride on 17" is better... i find the 18" a little bit more planted :lipsrsealed:
-
Neither. I think the 17 & 18" Monzas are fugly, so I opted out all together and got Interlagos.
-
Got 17" Quite happy at the moment. Don't like the Monza II's.
-
i went for the 18" monza's too, they look top banana, wouldnt even consider the std wheels.
well worth the £400 extra any day.

........same here mate.Mine is a mk5 but not a fan of the Monza alloys(came on 17'' monza) so found a set of genuine Edition 30 alloys & got them.

You got Interlagos cause the monzas are fugly ? Nothing like getting something even fuglier.

There was a review of the GTi in the Sunday Herald - the car pictured was silver, with Monza Shadows.
The reviewer loved the car but was pretty rude about the appearance of the wheels.
Rolfe.
-
I love my Monza 2's they make the car for me.
-
I have the Monza's and am very pleased with the way that they compliment the car.
They look the nuts and are very easy to clean.
I can see why people why would not like them though. They are quite agressive looking and very 'dark' unlike the normal alloy look.
-
i have the monza II 18's. the car is totally ruined imo with the 17's - what's the point of having a lovely car if you're going to dress it with small alloys. 18's make the car!

If I'd have ordered the car new I'd have specced 18s. I'm not patient enough to wait for a new car order so got a pre-reg'd one with as low a spec as I could find, which came with 17s.
I already had a set of 18s and have since bought another, so I have 3 sets with mine!

If only Gizzy, been stuck at home all day waiting for a gas engineer.
I've nearly ebayed myself to death! Still managed to resist buying any more wheels....
-
I just realised why i have never been in love with the monza wheel design, there was always something that made me think in the back of my mind they are not VW type wheels.
I realised today why, they look like they are based on Ford!!! wheels from the 80s and 90s  They look like XR3i wheels!

Damn, when that Lambo first came out I probably thought those wheels were really cool. Now, they look like something out of the Teletubbies' house
