Title: hi all selling my clio172 to buy a 1.8tmk4

Hello there my names Tej and from Leicester, well i am selling my clio in order to buy a mk4 1.8t. i have always wanted one and want to tune it up and go for a euro look. hope i can find usefull information for what to look for when buying one and what mods to go for thank you.

not a very good build on french cars but its a nice car tbh, i'd advice anyone looking for fun and a car that can be used on track for weekends etc get one quite nippy aswell :tongue: . but feel a bit old and need something a bit more maturer which can also pack a serious punch :laugh:

I drove a clio 182 and I thought it was rubbish. The steering tries to straighten out half way through a corner and starts to feel very heavy and below 5500rpm there is literally no torque, I mean literally. On the motorway you have to drop down to 4th to overtake, it has no torque otherwise.

Golf is far better choice (not for handling though  :tongue:)

Clio's are only good cars to drive if they belong to someone else  :grin:

Welcome, never driven one of them but had a 206 gti 180 for a few days and that was rubbish aswell unless you were giving it a good seeing to, golfs are much better (and I am not biased at all  :evil: )

lol no seriously i have driven all types of cars as i used to deliver cars all across the u.k for east midlands vehicle hire. so i have driven myfair share of cars vans and 4x4's and can honestly say the 172 is a real drivers car and one of the best handling cars- excellent on bends and roundabouts quick and just a joy to drive. pug 206 :sad: i test drove one they're rubbish. the bad thing with the 172's is the build quality and i want a golf because tbh its a decent all rounder i.e build quality, tuning, looks! :cool: just waiting to sell mine soon as its on sale and hoping to get a mk4 asap but wont be able to drive it till end of jan/ early feb. :sad:
