Hi i'm planning on buying a mk4 1.8t and have noticed their are two different versions the 150, and the 180.
From what i can gather the 180 just has a ko4 turbo (as apposed to the ko3 on the 150). Is this the only difference?
I plan on modding the car (but not on a mission for crazy power).
Is the turbo the only difference?
What are your guys experience with the cars?
Cheers.

Welcome to the site, best to ask the question in the mk4 section.

AGU = 150 BHP KO3 Turbo maps to 190BHP, 98-99 cars
AUM= 150 BHP KO3s turbo maps to 210BHP 2000-02
AUQ= 180 BHP KO3s turbo maps to 210BHP 02 onward
The years are a rough estimate you get some later cars with AGU and some earlier cars with AUM etc...
Both AUM and AUQ are very similar just a different factory map but you get the 312mm brakes up front.
No mk4's came with a KO4.
Lots more info in the mk4 section, especially the maintenance part :afro:

1.8 20v NA 125bhp and the 2.0 115bhp are not so good.
