Title: Blinker Problem PLEASE HELP
Post by: xaok on 24 July 2003, 21:13
Hi, im new to this board and the whole vw scene actually but I have a problem with my 96 Golf gs right now. MY BLINKERS DON"T WORK! The fuses are fine and the blubs are fine so I don't know what else could be causing it. Not only do my blinkers not work, the emergency flashers do not work so I  believe this could be connected. When I put my blinkers on, my gauge pannel doesn't even blink where the indicators are for your blinkers being on. Please Help!

Hiya,

Could be the relay. As well as the fuses the indicators need a relay to do the on/off thing. Check it out in your manual to see where in your fuse box it is.

Check the hazzard switch, press it in and out a few times to see if the fault clears, hope this helps, Steve.
