Title: quick question
Post by: mrpatterson2008 on 25 November 2009, 11:24
got the common problem of the 8v not reving past 5000rpm.

is it because the timing belt is out or it because the distributor isn't alinged correctly?

VAG com shows hall sender fault but i've replaced dizzy/sender and cleared fault. fault still comes back on.

+1 set crank @ tdc on cyl1 + then see wether cam or dizzy are lined up, then you will have your answer
