A mate of mine has a Passat, and the engine is on its way out.... Looking at a turbo lump, can get one for £550 inc ecu, box, drive shafts, turbo and down pipe. what else is needed to do the conversion? been told is the one with bigger internals, (agu? what turbo would be on that presuming is that code?)
When changing the loom, do you need to change the internal parts or just on the engine and the ecu? if people could shed some light on all of this would be most appreciated!!!!
THANKS!!!!!!!!

Is the engine from a Golf???

Passat unit is massively different to the Golf one.
Longitudinal fitment and ancilliaries vs transverse fitment.
What exactly is the OP asking here?
What's the current motor in the Passat and what do you want to fit to it now.... or are you looking to fit a different engine to a Golf.

Be best to go on UK Passats and ask those questions!

oh so not really worth the hassle then?
Think the engine out of golf. and is the 1.8 20v non turbs in the passat.
