Title: pd or not pd.

hi all,i am selling my mk 2 and finaly going for a mk 4 tdi tomorow.my problem is, the 2 i am torn between are 130 bhp with 185 chip , or 110 with leather and bbs 17s. the guy with the 110 dosent know if its a pd engin or not.can anyone help. its a 99 model ,apparently 11/11/99. i will then have to change my name then i suppose. ;D

Dont think they made a 110 PD in 1999.  Easiest way to check, how many gears does it have ? PD = 6 speed, tdi = 5 speed.

The 110 is NOT a PD engine. Go for the 130 as this is. Well worth it in the long run. You'll only regret not getting the 130 afterwards.

got the 130.with chip...nice ;D ;Dnow the wheels an suspension....frosticles , are they rs4 replicas,or the real thing ? i have herd that real ones wont fit .? also there are a lot of the same style out there,and i dont want to get ripped.where did you get yours ? an what  suspension you got.again i here that eibach springs with standard shox work well.i dont want to loosen my fillings anymore just be a bit lower an a bit stiffer :P any info will be nice ...cheers paul

Provided your shocks are in good condition, eibach springs are a good choice (even better if your car has the optional vw sports suspension ) ... if you want to spend a bit more then ive been hearing good things about FK Highsport coilovers... very good value.
And yep you're right.. real RS4 wheels wont fit, but the replicas (multi-fit 5x112 / 5x100) go straight on and seem to be good quality, although spoke to a lad on sunday who complained about the weight of them.

definitely PD!

I heard that bilstein shock/springs were quite good but not a massive improvement over the vw sports suspension
