Title: sump gaurd
Post by: rocketron on 22 November 2009, 16:46
hi, can someone tell me if my 16v gti should have a sump gaurd/tray. after hideous amounts of rain i drove through a deep puddle quite slowly and theres a large multi plug on the front of the block sorta region and this got wet and my car cut out.

so just wondering if the golf should have a sump gaurd cheers.

I've got a full plastic sump guard / undertray. I believe its from a diesel.

my 16v came with the plastic under car tray. i phoned vw too get a replacement the other day. i've never laughed so much as when he told me they're £114 squid PLUS vat!!!!!!!!

then i found all the trays on ebay and won em for £5.50
