Title: OBD READING A FAULT!!

Hi i just put my friends OBD reader onto my 16 valve mk3 gtii (p reg) and it showed the following:

INTAKE MANIFOLD PRESSURE SENSOR  (G71)   SPORADIC - NO SIGNAL


Does something need replacing if so where is it please and what??

What was the actual fault code..? how is the car running..?

the car is idling but fluctuating from 1000 to 1200 revs on stand still

leaky vacuum pipe from the intake manifold somewhere then probably

i have the same issue but it's only started hasppening since i replaced the coil and ht leads. idles between 500-1200 rpm. vagcom reads intake manifold pressure sensor
(g71). can't see any breaks in the vac pipes. what do i do now????

The 16v map sensor is part of the ecu. The vacuum pipe from the manifold to the ecu gives it the reading. So first idea would be to check the vacuum pipe. See if it is split, take it off and blow through it to see if it is blocked. Best course of action is just to replace it because it could be collapsing under vacuum.

antafram is my cousin and it was me that had the problem. replaced the whole vac hose and it now purrs like a dream and is now a lot smoother and faster since the coil and leads.
