Hey all,
Finally took delivery yesterday, and Im exstatic.
But I need help understanding this :
Whenever I open the door, the car beeps through the stereo's speakers - the beep is similar to the warning you get when the radio (RCD-510) is about to switch off to preserve the battery.
If I open a door, it will beep 3 to 4 times then stop. If I open another door, and will beep again for another 3 to 4 times.
This is definately not the 'lights on' warning.
I searched this forum, checked the manuals, and tried google - no luck.
Anyone know what my car is trying to tell me ?

indicator still on??
-
Nope - Indicator off, windows up. Sunroof was on tilt - will see if it does the same on closed.
Bonnet, boot all properly closed.
Lights were set of '0'.
-
dsg or manual??
-
Manual, 4 door, Xenons, RCD S/r.

Aren't you in SA? if so maybe slightly different to here, i think we only get beeps if you leave any lights on and open the door. sounds like yours is more like an american spec, ie a beep for everything, door open, key in ignition, eyes open, eyes closed etc etc.

Actually our cars are normally euro spec.
Ill have to check with the dealer - still havent figured it out.

Seatbelt warning?
-
Considering your location is it a beep for 'make sure someones not hiding on the back seat with a gun'?
