Title: service and bushes

looking to do my own service getting the oem parts from vwsparesbut i have a few questions about the bits i should get.

1  should i use quantum oil or castrol edge?
2  should i use 10w40 or 5w30?
3  can some one confirm that these are the leon cupra r bushes i need to upgrade my golf bushes with and how many of each do i need?

4  where can i get the front ones from?
5  are the fabia vrs bushes better?
6  whats the best coolant to get and when should i change it

1) Quantum from the dealers
2) see above
3) dont' bother - get Fabia VRS for much cheaper
4) same site
5) almost identical except the price!
6) G12++ - dealers for that

 any resons behind the oil is there no differnece between quantum and castrol

the leon and fabia bushes are same price m8.

quantum is £30 castrol is more expensive, simples

Leon rear bushes are £40 or so I thought  :undecided:  Fabia VRS are £13 a side

You need 2 front and 2 rear

your second link are the front bushes though  :huh:

and these are the Fabia bushes

thanks for that m8. are the leon ones not on there?

read all the link posted but it seems to recommend more an oil brand called Fuchs never heard of them till now?? this oil stuff is now very confusing lol

most likely but I wouldn't bother.  Why pay £40 when the £10 Fabia ones do exactly the same job  :smiley:

Fuchs tend to be what VW's are filled from the factory with.  I found using Fuchs though that I need to top up between services.  Using Quantum at the moment and the last two services I've not needed to top up so I'd go with that

Ive also used Fuchs oil once and had to top up after 6k, not had to with the quantum  :wink:
