Title: throttle reset...

right a quick question for those in the know...

I had a big air leak on the Golf the other night as the bolt I was using to block off a pipe on the inlet decided it didn't want to be in there any more. Now this has led to a few fault codes popping up which I was expecting (MAF, lean mixture and throttle adaptation exceeded)

My question though is how do you reset the throttle housing motor? I know you can apparently do it by leaving the door open when the ignition is turned on but I'm the same as Rich and not convinced this does the job.

If some one could tell me how to reset it via VAG COM it would be much appreciated  :smiley:

[01 - Engine]
[Basic Settings - 04]
Group 060
[Go!]
It should say "Basic Settings: OFF" on the top of your screen.
Click [ON/OFF/Next] to turn on Basic Settings.
It should now say "Basic Settings: ON" on the top of your screen.
Once you do this you will see the top right display say ADP RUN. The TB adaptation is being done as soon as you switched basic settings on. You will see the values change and hear the TB cycle for the first few seconds then it will stop. Leave it in Basic Settings for about 30 seconds.
Click [ON/OFF/Next] to turn off Basic Settings.
It should now say "Basic Settings: OFF" on the top of your screen
Click the [Done, Go Back] button and you're all set.

wes i did mine with the non vag com method after cleaning mine and tbh it did work fine if that helps mate  :wink:

No need to use VAg com, the ignition on with door open method works fine.

it's actually block 098 lol

All done anyways. Just wanted to do it via vag com to make sure, cheers guys
