Title: K04 Low power figures

My mate spoke to backdraft last week about buying a k04 from them for his agu. He has sport cat, downpipe and tip and they quoted after a map 220hp

That seems really low for a k04, christ you can get more than that from a k03s

Cant be right can it

yes that seems very low. I'm sure Nick will tell you what he would be able to get from it  :smug:

you can get 220bhp from a K04 on the standard fuelling. To get higher power figures i.e 250/260bhp then you will need bigger injectors, uprated fuel pump/fpr. Then FMIC will help also 3" MAF housing and airbox to suit.

so how come 230bhp out of standard AGU fuelling on a K03s is possible then?

probably because you are running the injectors (flow rate) and other bits to their maximum capabilitys  and therefore possibly reducing reliabilty of the said component.

i get 250 at the fly with standard injecters AFR of 11
