Been looking for a few months now, only found 1 in red that was sold and a 5 door dsg in silver which is no use. Does anyone know of a low mileage one for sale?
-
gti or ed30?whats your approx budget?
-
I always thought you couldn't get edition 30's with the optional buckets? Budget will be to suit the right car
-
The 5 door DSG is the one to go for.
-
Definately not, else I'd have snapped up the one I saw advertised
-
The recaros are the rarest option you can find in the GTI
Good luck!
-
You will hardly find any cars with the Recaro buckets in a GTI. You cant be picky if you want them, you just have to take what you get really.
Jonny is correct, ED30 only came in the 50/50 tartan / leather mix.

I got a 3-door in graphite blue for sale , 55 reg (registered on the 28/12/05- just 4 days later it would have been 06).
Has black leather heated seats , with the GTI impression in the centre , they are mint condition.
Privacy glass allround.
47,000 from new , had its first mot in August this yr
The 18" monza 2's need a refurb , but the tyres are literally a month old
Im going to put it on autotrader soon for somewhere in the region £10,995 but am open to sensible offers.

adam you're wrong, it would need to be reg on 01/MARCH/06 to be '06', change overs are in march and sept!

sent you a pm
cheers

-
Yanek, just replied to you! Cheers.
-
Still on the look out, cash waiting for the right car

Have you considered retro fitting the bucket seats? I really do think your going to struggle to fine one with the buckets and all the extras you want.
Your going to struggle to find a GTI with the buckets full stop.

Dont appear on ebay all that often

No they sure has hell don't! Only thing with them ones is they come from an R32 so have the "R" as opposed to the "GTI" in the headrest, but that's just a minor glitch.
I think the cloth tartan GTI ones are much nicer aswell.

Should the car not have had its first MOT December 2008?? Not August 2009?

Yep, not sure what the deal is?
My MY05 failed its first MOT last year with a split on the front CV gaitor.

I will say something thats not good about the bucket seats on the gti, the seat backs have a sort of gloss black finish that picks up scratches pretty easy. The two ive seen so far needed stripped and re-finished :undecided:

Jonny,
Good news...I have exactly what you are looking for...07 plate, March 2007, 35,000 miles, Black 3dr, DSG with paddles, leather Recaros, xenons, Monza II's, i-pod, mobile hands free kit, luxury pack, winter pack, 6-cd unit. The original owner paid £28k for this car...I paid £17k in July this year after waiting about a year for the right one to come up...had to travel from Aberdeen to Sunderland to collect.
Bad news...I bought it with the intention of keeping it forever...therefore it's not for sale...sorry...!!!
The lesson to be learned is that patience is a virtue...if you wait long enough you will be rewarded with the car of your dreams.
Good luck in your quest for perfection,
Billy

Even I got excited then till I saw the bad news bit!!
Harsh as f;&k!!!
Funny though
-
You don't have exactly what I want, yours is DSG and has done 35k
I've no problem waiting for the right car, I already have a year old JCW mini the golf is going to be our second car  Savings are growing every month so I'll be ready to pounce

Im trading down to a cooper works for a year to save some pennies, fun little cars
-
and has done 35k
And everyday that goes past your less likely to find one with less
-
It's swings and roundabouts mate, my car choice isn't limited purely to a mk5 gti! It's not like I'll be gutted if I don't get one.
I narrowly missed out on one a few months ago that had only done 13k.
and has done 35k

Nice one, I had reservations about paying how much I did for mine new but tbh it is by far the best car I've owned/driven. I even prefer taking it for a thrash compared to the Evo 7 I had before it. I can't see myself selling it for a long time!

Get yourself a proper golf then mate, recaros are much more likely in a 32. It also comes with two important extras you cant get on the GTI

35k miles is quite high for an 07, im on 33k and mines a 55 plate!

Should be good for a year. Its going to be the missus car mainly but ill use it every so often (why it needs to be a works, she will be happy with a standard cooper lol)
