my first post: :smiley: can anyone tel me if i should be able to receive tv channels on the satnav/dvd screen in my mk6gti. thanks.

I'm guessing when we get a digital switch oveer soon - in car TV will disappear.
Its bad enough trying to get a digital signal with the aerial ontop of your telly... imagine the signal when you're moving!!

I think most of the car units available are digital already - can't vouch for signal quality!

More likely to be affected by the common sense switchover - don't know how much VW would want for the Tuner but on the Mini it's £600 or so on top of the SatNav!  :shocked:

Thats a bargain compared to the VW one.

Doesn't appear to be an option on the Golf VI except the Japanese version and Kufatec have no solution for the Golf VI if you have the RVC at the moment

Also see www.vwnavi.com for a forum on mega tweaks to VW's on-board media systems. Some of these guys rip out the entire insides of their cars for the sake of an extra TV channel :smiley:
