this afternoon i opened my bonnet to find my k&n filter had come off.... and it was stitting on the inner wing!
its hit the alternator and its put to slight scrapes in it but its put a few holes in it! :(
this must have happened last night when i was racing a merc... i wondered why i was keeping up with it! :)
i didnt think it would run without a filter on it but it does!
the k&n is a bin job and there ?80 new.........
so ive tried to get an air box!
i was concidering going back to the box as the k&n kepts getting very dirty quickly!
ive managed to get a box of a lad but its got a bit missing out of it at the back where one of the clips had snapped it off.. so it just about squashes the filter without letting dirt in the engine! :(
ive had to have this because ive got no other option!
i just need a good top half! :(
ive still got to buy a gasket and bolts for it and a clip is missing so a trip to the scrappers to get a few of them!
i'll have to put tape on it just to make sure........ and try and either get another top half box or a box or another k&n!
fcuking insurance is due next week........
ive had a head ache all day...
ive got some type of black oily dirt on the stair carpet and the carpets are new!
nothings going right i'm p***** off.........
ive had enough! :(

just one of them things itll seem better in a day or so

im sure ive seen covers you can get for cone filters for dirty winters, if you were happy with it get another and use a few jubilee clips this time :D

I've got an 8v Digi K&N that's not being used if you're interested.
The bolt snapped on the suspension turret that the unit mounts to, so just gone back to the old box.
It's only 2 months old !!
Let me know if you're interested - not after alot for it.

if yours is a digifant then ive got the air boxes for you mate :)

yes digifant........ ive managed to put this one on........
it just about covers the seal so its ok for now.... well until i get another one!
i wouldnt of brought it but i was desperate to get the car working again....
so i'm still looking for another digi air box..... one what isnt damaged of course!..........
blue mk 2 where you located and what would you want for it!
