In the Blue corner and currently undisputed champion of the world we have "The Muscle" Milltek... and his opponent the challenger in the blue corner we have "The Punisher" Powerflow -So who's gonna win....?? :grin: :grin: :grin: :cool:

TBH people who have Milltek are going to say the Miltek is best and the others are going to say Powerflow :undecided:, I can only comment on the Miltek I have and I can't fault it at all.
Have you considered BlueFlame (http://www.blueflameperformance.com/prange.php?makeid=115&pageid=2) as another alternative as they are really good as well :afro:

I have had Powerflow before and was impressed with them but I would definatly go for Miltek. Im a name man and would say Miltek are the Armani of exhaust and Powerflow are like next Next :laugh:

Milltek all the way, but there are plenty of cheaper alternatives out there that are better than powerflow. Jetex stuff seems half decent.

Anyhow, I can't comment on Powerflow, but I can say that I am wildly happy with my new Milltek system. It's absolutely brilliant :smiley:

But from speaking to alot of people on this subject, including Awesome Gti and also Revo , They told me to stay away from Milltek, they are contracted Milltek sellers aswell, Yet they told me not to touch them!
They said the quality of them has really gone down hill, and they would always now recommend that you go to blueflame, as there quality of work is very very good! My mate has a milltek on his golf, and after the 4 months of having
it on, it began to rattle, then he found the out he baffles were f**ked!
I dont own one, so im not saying there sh!t, as that would be unfair, but from what i have heard, from 2 very big VAG companies, i would not go milltek!

If anything the last batch of milltek stuff we had in was improved in quality, especially the clamps... and the new sports cats / d-pipe seem very well manufactured. Maybe they send us the good ones because we chat Connie up when ordering :grin:
Nick loves fitting them because of how well made they are, perfect fitment and no blowing joints.
as for blueflame.. well, that picture of keith / IvorMk4's broken downpipe was enough to put me off for life.

My powerflow system on my mk4 golf was good quailty but sounded anit crap at times, so i would say miltek, but would also rather have blueflame. :laugh:

well jake when i rang awesome and psi tuning a couple of months ago to ask who they reccomend out of milltek & blueflame they told me milltek was the bee's knees and fitted like a glove! just couldnt be arsed to wait 3 weeks for them to get one in! so went R-Tech and had my anni milltek fitted, but it has started to rattle plus i swear the tail-pipe sticks out more than it used too! :huh:

IMO Milltek FTW!
Over the past 16 years I have fitted 1000s for exhausts from every supplier out there, oem, patern and performance systems. And I can honestly say that Milltek have hit the nail on the head, quality material, good bends, sleave joint which fit perfect and dont need any sealing paste, good fitting not had one yet with a bad bend. They are a pleasure to fit! There back up and support are very good, Then the LIFE time warranty tops it off.
They are not as loud as some makes, but I come from a tuning back ground and know noise dont = any extra power, just ditry looks from OAPs. :rolleyes:
Yesterday we did a full 1.8T Turbo back install on behalf of Milltek for a car magazine, at the same time had a photo shoot while installing the system and carrying out back to back rolling road runs. Using Our spec1 AUM remap back to back dyno runs and with a Milltek res turbo back made an extra 21lbft.

Really cant fault my Milltek TBH been on couple of years and never had any trouble still love it to bits :evil:

It is worth noting that stainless steel gets hotter quicker than mild steel and also expands noticeably when hot.The expansion of the metal also means that an exhaust that sits straight and neat when cold does not continue to do so when hot :wink:

IMO Milltek FTW!

On the 2nd run it made 18bhp extra, but the 1st and 3rd runs where both 17bhp so we gave you the average number not the peak.. :rolleyes:
How does it sound and feel now? Chris said it made you grin..yet again.

I remember when I was 12years old my brother had a Fiat Regatta Twin cam which had a scafold pipe from the downpipe all the way to the back of the car, it was that loud we could hear it in the next village 3 miles away.
A drink driver hit the car with all 3 of my brothers in it, total write off and 3 of my brothers luck to all be here today. The funny part was when the car was back at my Dad garage, and non of the wheels touched the floor and the only straight part on the car was the scafold pipes which was un touched.

u did a crackin job fittign my full cat back on however is the slight horizontal movement in the tailpipe end normal? as where the cutout is i always move the exhaust so it sits perfectly central to the gap but then after a run it slides back again off center, i remember topher put somethign in to stop it sliding????

Two options:
1 New rear hanger which is tighter and will reduce the slide on the reas mount
2 Use 2x jubilee clips butted up on each side of the rear rubber.
Chris would have used 2x zip ties to as a temp fix.

I have the Oettinger on my car as it came with my car which is an import from Germany.
Anyone know how good or bad they are?
It sounds sweet to me and I havnt had any problems with it so far.
