Title: Wheel bolt size?
Post by: shakman on 16 November 2009, 22:52
Can somebody tell me what size wheel bolt is used on Mk2's? Looking to update my set and get some Mcgard locking ones too.

Tried to have a browse on google and ebay but nothing came up.

Cheers.

i've got OEM 14" BBS wheels at the moment. Was thinking to put my 16" Rota Slipstream wheels on as they've got brand new tyres on them and i've got no serious buyers for them.

The Rota's ET measurement is 45 is that helps?

I had these on my mk3, made changing the wheels a doddle. Give you info on the pitch and thread of stock and aftermarket bolts too :nerd:

The et is way too much for a mk2, better to fit 10mm spacers, bolt size is 12mm

thread pitch is m12x1.5
If you use OEM wheels you want ball seating, mcgard part # 28028SU

Most aftermarket wheels have a tapered seating, which means you need mcgard part # 27179SU or 27178
