Can't find a specific post about this but perhaps someone can help.
The heater control panel light on my golf has failed. Have removed the panel and the inner grey bulb holder panel...... HOW DO YOU GET THE BULB OUT?
Thanks.

Thanks to those who replied + the photo steps! Wow!
I guess it was not designed for easy replacement..... maybe VW figured the unit/bulb would never fail...?
Have managed to get one from Ebay.... so I hope it does work as the seller says.

I must say thats a quality find Steve B! Mine has been out since i've had her! Shall get cracking on that once i've messed about with the flange!!

I tried one of them led kits for switches and the panel but am no good at soldering and found it so fiddly trying to solder a resistor to the led and fit it all together tidily i just gave up.
People on here have said they have used a 12v led with no resistor but the ones i got from maplin just blow.
-
12v LEDs shouldn't need a resistor - as long as the data sheets show they are capable of handling 15v.
Cheaper 12v LEDs with lower tolerances will pop after running at 14.4v for a while.

cool ill look for some at the weekend and yes they were cheap!
f**k trying those crazy leds again, they re almost impossible. The instructions make it all look so easy!
