Can anyone explain how VW factory and dealer allocation works ?? For New Vehicle orders.  :huh:

For the GTI I know that each dealer has a monthly allocation. I am not sure what that number is but it could be as low as 2. When we ordered our GTI in July, I know the dealers allocation for that month had been used up, therefore our order was put into August's, thats why we had a bit of a wait before getting our car.

There's also some variables to factor in. I understand that the allocation is not /just/ based on how many GTi's go through a dealer's books, rather factory targets etc.
