I've had these for aaaaages but never got around to test fitting until this afternoon. They are the same as Hurdy's headlights. I won't be wiring up the angel eyes but might do the DRL strip if I can figure out how to do it properly. The problem is though I'm completely split on how they look on the car. They look more aggressive than the stock headlights and do look good, but the silver on the stock headlights suit the car really well too. Either headlight style would suit the black grill I'm going to get. I honestly can't decide. What does everyone here think?
Stock on the left, aftermarket on the right. Ignore the mangled front plate, was the middle car in a small bump recently. No damage other than the dented plate and a few scratches.

new ones for me
kind of doesn't help you got the rubstrip missing though as you don't get the full effect of how good the new one looks :undecided:

Think the new look is far better and similar to what I'm thinking about for my own (black) GTI.

They get my vote
Before you fit them I'd suggest getting some silvered indicator bulbs as they look better than the "egg yolk" ones. Also swap out the stock sidelight bulb for vision blue ones as they match the DRL's better.
I'd still wire up the angel eyes as they give a really cool 4 blip light up sequence with the DRL's when you turn the ignition on and they aren't really bright like some angel eyes are.

That sounds awesome man, I had no idea they did that, any chance of a video? I already put in the bluevision sidelights as I had an extra set lying around. I'll change the indicators too when I get them, I have to order some uprated bulbs for the headlights.
I just went outside to check the light output in the dark and all I can say is WOW, the light from the projectors is fantastic! Even with the normal H1s it came with the light is thrown far and wide but with a clean cut off. I'm very impressed

I'm not sure off the top of my head, I'd have to go receipt hunting. I bought them months and months ago. I'll have a poke around and PM you when I find the price
