Title: Small Bumper Skin Removal
Post by: gavL on 14 November 2009, 12:47
How do you remove the plastic skin from the bumper. Do the plastic clips compress to release the iron mount and if so am I risking damaging the bumper?

Currently the bolts are lost inside the skin. Can't reattach the brackets without removing the skin...

Cheers in Advance :)

there are wedges on some of the clips, remove these and yeah its a case of compressing the clips to pop he skin off.  it can be easier said than done however, i really struggled on mine! in the end i bolted it back to car and yanked it off that way, though you'll struggle as the arms arn't attached :(

Got fed up so just sourced another one very quickly. Now it's just a case of sourcing small bumpers and trim that's turning into a task...
