ive gone two put the clutch down and as ive put it down its not come back up, Can anybody help ??

There is a clip in the mech of the clutch pedal, which breaks, causing the pedal to stay on the floor, This is a common Fault on VW, Seat, Skoda & Audi
Turn the car off & try to get it in 2nd, you may be able to limp it, however , if u need to stop, u'l have to stall (May be better to use RAC.
You will need a new clutch Pedal, these are approx £90 to buy, they are a pain too fit, VW will prob want around £200 labour, most compentant garages should be able to do the job at a fraction of that price.

They're £23 from VW !!! make sure you get the white clip aswell. and i fitted mine in about half-hour
