ok, i may have asked this before, but i get very little time these days to visit here as i have a heavy commute
im about to aquire a mk4 GTTDI and was saving my 16" BORBET A's for my mk3 (but now its gonna be for sale)
my question is, as the wheels are 112x5 stud (pretty sure merc fitment) what size adaptors will i need for my mk4 (standard ride height) 4x "5 stud 112->100 (prolly fk automotive adaptors, but how thick?)
ive had these wheels for about 3 years now, and finally put 2 tyres on them = 195 45 16's stretched CONTINENTALS
also what would have been the adaptor/ spacer width to run them on a standard mk3 gti
and FINALLY do i need spigot rings? what ever they are?....i assume they are rubber spacer/washers that absorb shock/vibration?
i am going to be doing 70 miles per day to work (hence the TDI purchase) thanks for any help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!111!!!!one

ok, maybe to many questions
16" 5 STUD 112 PCD BORBET A's onto a MK4 GTTDI. 7 1/2 j x 16 H2
ADAPTORS HOW THICK?
-
I would guess 20mm adaptors but what offset are they also 16"s on a mk4 will look very small unless slammed.
-
this thread is pointless without knowing what offset the wheels are as standard.

Well and et of 30, plus adaptor will leave you with an et of 10, being safe (20mm adaptor) or 15, being a bit risky (15mm adaptor).
Which is quite alot of poke on a mk4 and when combined with such a small wheel would need to be absolutely on its arse before it looked anywhere near good.
In my mind, sell the wheels and put the money from the sale, plus what you'd plan on spending on adaptors towards a set of 5x100 wheels in a decent size. there are loads out there!
