yeah I know realised after I booked  :rolleyes:
I need 4 tyres so expecting some advisories.
standard map is now back on to pass the smoke test  :lipsrsealed: :grin:

fitting a clean intercooler has reduced the amount of smoke i produce  :smiley:

Advisories on front passenger ball joint, which is only 6 months old  :lipsrsealed: (ebay jobbie)
and two front tyres

does a tdi with a remap fail an mot?

so everytime u have an mot u have to pay to get it chnaged then pay again to get changed back to mapped?  :undecided:

No its just steves smokes a lot ATM.

He changes the maps himself  :wink:

and Steve has the Aliengate box - allows him to put the car back to standard  :wink:

I've got a cheap lead which does the same job  :smug:

what I'd do is run some injector cleaner through like Forte a couple of tanks before your MOT is due and take it for a good blast BEFORE the MOT - will smoke a lot less when up to temperature  :wink:

Mine passed with the remap last year though but this year i've got the decat so not sure lol

not really though my CAT was fooked lol and i've only got the decat; Steve has the full system

seems to smoke a lot less now I've fitted a nice clean intercooler  :undecided:  Going to look at fitting a catch tank to avoid the oil returning

also do you know what size the tailpipes are on the milltek 4motion system for tdi is bud and are they slash cut?

I have found this. Mine hardly smokes like it did before I cleaned out my IC.

I'm just going to do my oil catch tank this week I think.
