Title: Topping up the oil

I've had the car 6 months and the oil level has dropped from exactly on Max to exactly on Min. Does this sound reasonable or should I be concerned? I searched the forum and went out and bought Castrol Edge 5w30 as advised but can someone tell me how much oil it takes to take the level from Min to Max? I don't want to overfill.

Its 1 litre from max to min.  Depends on your mileage but thats about what mine goes through.  VW say that 1L per 700miles (maybe its 700km....) is considered 'acceptable'  :undecided:
