Its time for an oil filter change on the car (done 33k). Phoned National Tyres they quoted £35 approx. For this you get Castrol Edge 5w 30 with Unipart oil filter. Puzzled as to why so cheap!!!!!!

Bulk buying power ?. :undecided:
-
cos the filter costs a couple of pound
-
Must be.
Tempted to take up offer, only thing car is due a service but will cost £129.99 at VW! Last service they changed the oil and filter but used 15w-30 Magnatec!
Might ask NT for a full service price!

buy the oil and the filter from VW or motor factors (make sure its the correct spec) and do it yourself
take you less than an hour comfortably

i cant recommend opieoils enough,
they will recommend the correct grade oil and even do service packs which include a filter.
plus you get a discount if your a club member.

Castrol Edge comes in different specs. Make sure it's fully syn and meets latest VW dubs 504/507 spec.
