Title: throttle cable
Post by: Dizzie on 03 October 2004, 21:54
what's the end that connects to the pedal like on a 1.8t throttle cable like?

The one I'm using now is too short and I've been told that's the longest I can get, but obviously the ones that come on the mk4's aren't as tight and almost go all the way round the engine. if I can connect the other end to my pedal then I'll shell out and buy one.

any throttle cable from a (AGU) engine should be ok as, the throttle butterfly is on the front side of the engine so you should have a pretty lenghtly cable, most of the other m4's that have a cable (no other 1.8t's other than the agu) are shorter as the buttery fly/throttle system is on the back side of the engine hence the short cable.

id try one of these, you should be able to pull up at a half decent vw dealers and ask em to get one out so you can size it up
