Hi, only my second post, so be gentile!
Picked my Mk5 GTI, (06 plate) at the weekend, good to get back behind the wheel of golf, I haven’t stopped smiling since collected it.
It’s load with extras, 18 Monzas’ leather, winter pack, MFD2 satnav, phone prep, ipod and loads of history in steel gray.
Only one down side is that there is no user manual for the MFD2 or the phone prep any ideas? There is a also a small round rocker swith near the gear stick and handbrake, it's not listed in the manual and garage didn't know what it was for; I daren't touch it!

Welcome fellow Yorkshireman
Try your VW dealer as they may have some MFD2 manuals on stock.
As for the rocker switch :undecided:......ejector seat? Only one thing to do and that is contact the previous owner if you can. Should be on the V5 or possibly in any docs you have if the dealer registered the car for themselves.

Off to the dealer this weekend to get a manual. I did look on line but E-bay wanted £20!
Good idea about contacting the previous owner, I have all the paperwork.
I'll let you know what it is, with pictures ,when I find out.

Spoke to the previous owner - the little black switch is for the DVD player.

Try this

Its for the CD version rather than the DVD version but the differences are minor.
Probably an aftermarket fit hence the lack of a proper manual.
