Hi all,
Finally got my new Mark 6 on Friday...been waiting since July...its only the GT not the GTI unfortunately!
Sorry if these questions have already been asked, I did look but could see any...
What are the settings in the convenience menu about door opening? There is manual setting for individual, all etc and an automatic setting....what do all these do?
Also any easy way to make all the doors unlock with one key press rather than 2?
Sorry for the nooob questions!
PS Loving the car so far...my first Golf

i believe you have answered your own question.... select "All" in the convenience menu and then all the doors will unlock
not being funny, but did you get a manual with the car. lots of useful bits of info in there

Thanks for the reply :)
I have the manual in front of me but some of the sections are quite difficult to follow.
The section is called doors opening so wasnt sure what to set it to....have selected all and set to automatic.

I found the best way was to take a couple of spare hours and try out a lot of settings on the MFD. That way I got to find out what most did and gave me a better understanding.
The stuff I couldn't fathom out I searched for asked in the in forums.

I have the same model, one part for the doors is when opening, and the second part is for the automatic door locking when in the car if you want. The bit that vexed me was the automatic coming home/ leaving lights feature I though it was broke as I alway had the light on auto. Today I did not have these on and they did not light up. Read the book and it says lights need to be at auto for leaving and a quick flash when you take the keys out of the ignition when you get home keeps the lights on...Pillock that i am

got to say I'm such a gee, when I got my Mk5 I spent about an hour reading the manual and playing with the MFD settings, was bliss!
Also a quick question if I may..... the CDR510 touch screen unit, does that enable you to change the MFD settings (I recall the satnav unit on the MK5 did).

In general no. Things like the music and phone settings are common but everything else is not there.

Thanks for all the replies guys, think I am getting there now.

OOI which satnav on the mk5 let you change the MFD settings? Presumably the RNS510?
