Title: Are people really paying these prices?

I know the top one has been posted on here before, but it is just hideous. Have you seen the rear? Abt have had the audacity to do this to a Scirroco too.

It was the red GTD, third one down that made me spit my coffee all over my desk when I saw the price.

That red GTD would be about £28K brand new... so £2K is the extra for immediate delivery (rather than waiting 4 months for a factory order)!

I posted this topic a few weeks ago, I see they haven't sold any yet. I wonder why?

Pretty much the spec of my car - only 59 plate and 12 miles on the clock at £24.5K or so!

Dumb, but I did see in auto trader 2nd hand mk6 GTI's at dealers were basically the same price as brand new (and way more that a brokers price!)
I remember when the R8 was being sold for £30k more than what you paid for the thing. Now I can understand for a car like that, but over the ods for a Golf GTD? It's basically a company car! Mad especially when you can get a BMW 325i for £25 brand new via discounts. The one car that did make me think what i was paying for the golf was a little high was a brand new, new shape E class for £26k That did make me think hmmm.
But came down to a madly discounted M sport 3 series 4 door saloon shape or a GTI 5 door.

Wonder what they will ask for a Golf R (£49k maybe... can get a 2nd hand DB9 or a Lambo Gallardo for that!)
