Hey guys,
After a month and a half of ownership, I have just realised that my GTi does not have a GTi badge on the back...
Not sure if I like this. A part of me thinks its cool for people behind not to be sure if its a GTi until it pulls away from them at the lights while the other part of me thinks most people will just think I have a standard golf.
What do you guys think, should I get the dealer to put it on for me and why would they have taken it off in the first point?

Hi, IMO, sometimes I think its cool to have it without the badge cos as you said, they won't know who they're messing around till you pull away! (I've had some great experience in this section!)
On the other had, if you did have the badge on, some might just refrain from trying you out!
Either way I think its cool. Although I feel IMHO, I would love to have the honour of having the GTI badge where it belongs!

I think I prefer it without overall. Think it looks better clean on the back but the golf range overall confuses me slightly, as far as I can tell the GTi only has GTi on the back, while some Golfs also have Golf written there together with the engine size.
-
The GTI should just have "GTI" on the left hand side of the tailgate  Did it have it on when you got it?
-
No have not had it since day 1 and I never asked for it to be debadged. Maybe the dealer it it off and plonked it on another car or it just left the factory without it.
-
Each to their own... de-bading allows for more 'Q-car' fun

Take the GTI badge off the grille and put a Bluemotion one on the back.

We may all have to do this soon due to the ecomentalists.

Can't believe you didnt get a badge on the back ?
I've even got one on my GTI mk6 on Forza 3.
-
did you ask for a badge? :lipsrsealed:
-
Are there any marks??
GTI and VW badges are very nickable unfortunately.
-
I didn't ask for the badge but didn't ask for it to be taken off either. There are no marks so dosent look like its been stolen. Just think it was never there from the start.
