I doubt you will notice it going down as it will be very slow, also not sure if its illegal but the police are not really going to do anything as you just need to act oblivious to it and say oh didnt realise that was there, and depending on where the nail is you maybe able to get it repaired if not buy new tyre :smug:

Get is sorted as soon as possible! If you keep driving on it with the nail in there's every chance it will explode.
-
cost me £5 to get a nail out my tyre and have the hole repaired at a local garage
-
it can be repaired as long as its in the centre 3/4s, its not an mot fail.
-
What make and condition is the tyre apart from the nail?
-
Get it sorted, you dont want it to suddenly deflate as you're driving along.
As previously stated it can be repaired if its on the flat part of the tyre (not in the sidewall or too close to the edge)
Cost depends on where you take it. Standard tyre fitting place charges usually vary from £10 to £20 so it will depend on the make of the tyre and how much tread is left if it is better to get it repaired or get a replacement.
