Title: Sat Nav Trouble
Post by: mark5gti on 04 November 2009, 19:29
I have a problem with my MK5 OEM touch screen Sat Nav.

It has recently lost all GPS tracking and when you go to the split screen view it says 0/11 satellites and will not pick any of them up??? When you look at the map view it just shows the arrow driving all over the place (i.e. over fields, rivers and not attached to any street I drive a long).

Has anyone had any similar problems???

Cheers

Its a factory fitted antenna mounted on the roof which is not damaged.

not really. could just be that your gps lead has come out of the back or your need a new one... which again isnt very expensive. Get it checked by a dealer or even better someone in the ICE world that knows a thing or two.

Same happened on mine, new GPS antenna under warranty, then 10-12 satellite fix all the time.

Don't know how much it would cost out of warranty though, but didn't seem a large job to them.
