Title: Mk2...Loving this site already!!!

Hi all,

Joined a few days ago...already feeling the benefits  :laugh:

Anyways, from Catrine/ Kilmarnock....and I drive a 1989 mk2 gti
Had a polo then a mk3 golf and now finaly got myself "the real gti"  :drool:

4 months ago I bought it like this (just ticket over 66k miles):

Then it went to this (sh*t camera):

Now it has big bumpers(minus a front splitter :embarassed:):

Hope to get my ass down to some shows now  :wink:

Nice car! Although you've got to get a splitter on that! It's illegal to drive without one..  :rolleyes:

I couldn't find one anywhere. Bought from VAG, over £70! Worth it though.

Tried VAG...they wanted £45 for 1 half hahaha noooooooo chance says me  :laugh:

Hah, I was a sucker. I just said - why not. Then reluctantly handed over the cash.

It makes such an improvement to the car though.

Just make sure you watch dips in the road, and speed bumps. I've scratched mine quite a few times  :cry:
