Post by: chrisr103 on 02 November 2009, 19:07
I have been asked by a friend who has a 1996 VR6 if I can dissable his alarm from "Auto setting" by using my vagcom?

Now I have never heard of this or understand why he wants it done but does anyone know if its possile?

No, because it's aftermarket.

He told me it was a factory fit one?

Sorry for sounding a bit vague on the mk3 system but I have only had MK4's

Hmm not sure now, Guess I need to see the car & have a look, Would the alarm system come under the central convenience section of Vagcom?

dont think you can get to the alarm using vagcom on the mk3's because it is fitted seperatly
