LED rear lights, Just had a call from a VW dealer in Shef, They can now be ordered, There are apparently none in UK yet And full set of 4 costs £439.21 including VAT. 7-10days delivery time

Just to be clear - these are 'standalone' as opposed to an option on a New Mk VI?

for that kind of money I would rather have the car revo'd.... alot less likely that people will notice the back lights then :laugh:

You could of ordered the "smoked" lights ages ago, Same price I believe also

Yeah but I would guess if they do become an option on new builds, and the parts retail at just under £500, we are looking at a £300 option?

They should only screw and bolt on, so should be no big deal to DIY fit, but what about the connectors? I thought they needed adaptors?

Fair enough - I mad a schoolgirl error on that one!

I don't own a MK6 yet. That is my excuse and I am sticking to it.

I have already been in touch with my dealer and told him I want these on my GTD for free because of my 24 week wait!

Not fussed at all about these, I don't understand all the hype about them at all.  Money would be better put towards xenons vs the std headlights or a remap :)

weird, when I was ordering my Mk6 only a week or 2 ago, vw dealer didn't know and even escalalted back to .de however was told no plans for UK to be standard, and then if they are released will be an option. Seemed very dismissive.
Are these from the Golf R or something else?

These are the LED lights being fitted to the MKVI GTI in other country's just not here in UK

So basically they are on the VW parts system as RHD spec, but we can't spec them from new?

Are you sure these arn't the Golf R ones? as they would be RHD spec?
