Title: Golf GTI engine code help
Post by: bubuski on 01 November 2009, 20:54
I understand that the UK and Europe Golf 6 are using the 2.0TSI EA888 engine family in the GTI.
Can a Golf GTI owner please help me check the engine code sticker of a UK spec car? OR any GTI outside North America

- Open the hood or is it bonnet :smiley:?
- Look on the left side of the engine (as if you are facing the car)
- There "should" be a sticker on the top part of the housing for the chain. Close to the oil dip stick. Check the sticker for the alphabets below. The codes probably start with a "C".

CCT = CCTA engine
CBF = CBFA engine
CCZ = CCZB engine

Just curious. Thanks in advance
