Just thought I would share how happy I am with the Golf. Its my first VW in 25 years of 4 wheels. I've had a Fiat(uno) :sick: Fords (Fiesta x2 Sierra Escorts.) Talbot Samba :rolleyes: Renault Clio Peugeot 205. Vauxhall (Astra, Cavalier) Toyota Carina plus a few other's but never have I like a car so much so quickly.
Its very well built and so far in the 200 miles I've driven it (160 in the wet) I've felt very secure. I always longed for a golf but being a biker only needed a car to put the bike to bed for the winter when I got a little older. My fastest car to date was the Astra sports hatch (CDtdi 150bhp) this was my first car after giving up the bikes.
Whats the point I hear you say well Its I'm well chuffed with my purchase and hope to keep it for many years. :grin: :cool:

My first Golf too - first VW really, apart from having driven my mother's very basic 950cc Polo back in the day. Two Fiestas and Peugeot 306 before the Golf.
I too am well chuffed with it. Lovely car to drive. Very very happy with my decision.
