Title: Blue backlit dash or prefair the new white backlit dials?

Seems to be an interesting split of opinion regarding the new dash backlighting, so thought I’d wiz up a quick poll. So do you miss the cool blue backlitighting on the dash, or prefer the new white backlighting?
(not a poll about the new the dash, just the backlighting)

Personally its better on my eyes than the blue in our mk5 but i like the green in older VWs better. :evil: Audi red and SEAT red were never as clear to my eyes.

white is nice but not a fan of red needles. electric blue ftw.

I miss the blue dials. I agree with Snoopy too, the green in the older VWs was easy on the eye and looked a bit more cheery than a cold white. Shame they didn't go for a more bluey/white. Not a fan on the red on red of the Audis either.

Sat in a friend's MkV GT the other day and thought the blue was over the top.  Was like sitting in a cheap Korean hi fi!

White is far classier imho  :cool:

Must admit the Blue was very cool at first, when I sat in the Mrk6 thought I'd miss the blue, but the white does seem to have more class about it, but the blue is cool.

I'm leaning to the new white backlight (not sure about the Air con set up as think it looked old, however if you've opted for a colour touch screen you get a funky display for aircon settings so I spec'd the CD510 so I'm very happy (that is when i take delivery!)

Our other car is an A3 and the red is horrible...  I prefer the white lit dials (just) over the MKV blue ones :afro:

My dear friends, the red dials are meant to minimise the loss of night sight... so IMHO, I rather have red dials so that I can drive better at night... I have turned the lights on the speedos to a minimum in my car...

Turn your lights off at night. You get cool glow in the dark dials n your outside lights remain on
