The litte c**ts on my street decided to modify my car for me this week, but I only noticed it today (note it's not dented, it's a finger print!).

I need to see the scratch in the daylight to be honest, but it doesn't feel that deep. I'm guessing it's gone through some of the paint and may be down to the primer.
If it is going to need repairing, I'm woeful at paintwork, so can anyone recommend someone in the Sheffield area for a touch up job, that's not too pricey? There's a bit of rust at the bottom of the door which is going to be fixed early next year, along with a few other bodywork related things, so I don't want to spend too much now if the door is going to be resprayed then (but I do want to reduce the appearance of the scratch!)

Have you tried polishing it out??
Worth a try before spending money on it. Might also be woorth asking the bodyshop to Quote for all the work at the same time for a better deal.
I took my old car to a guy in Buxton, he removed the rust and repainted the bottom side of one door and some more near the window on the other door. Painted my grill, repaired and repainted the bottom of the n/s wing and managed to polish out a big(ish) scrape out of the n/s door as well which was a lot worse than the one in your pic. All done for £130 and I was really chuffed with his work. you couldn't tell where he had blended the paint in and that was on a Mystic Blue golf.

Through to the primer unfortunately. Tried polishing, then had a go at cutting it out, then I saw the primer coming through clearly.
I'm going to see how much it is to get the scratch done on its own first, as it's not going in for the other work until the end of Jan. Depending on how much it is, I may leave it until then.
