Title: rear axle bushes

hello, can anyone tell me how i change the rear axle bushes on my golf please. :smiley:

u doing it your self u might stuggle and get a bit fustrated.
make sure u buy the vrs ones best replacement imo
use the search tool above provided by the foum.

from watching someone else do it

jack up car
remove wheels
clamp / disconnect brake lines
drop rear beam
put on bench
hammer out old bushes
push in new bushes

refit is reversal of removal

Alternatively pay a garage anything between £40 and £300 depending on who quotes you and where you live

If you're doing it yourself invest in a Haynes as that should give you a good guide on how to drop the rear beam

i got mine done at a garage take 6 hours to do and cost £160 :huh:

i had powerflex rear bushes fitted to mine, about 30 quid a side iirc

Get yourself a pressure bleeder for the brakes aswell, you forgot that bit Rhyso!! :grin:

mine at a local garage £40 and couple of hours  :smug: :tongue:
